There are strict “quiet times” expected and enforced by Aspen Basin and the Town of Breckenridge.  In order to avoid any disruption of your stay and of our neighbor’s enjoyment, Aspen Basin has detailed the expectations for these times.

  • Quiet time in the neighborhood begins every night at 10:00 pm through the next morning at 8:00 a.m.  (the “Quiet Hours”). The Town of Breckenridge limits outdoor noise during this time to 50 decibels, which is generally equivalent to the sound of a quiet conversation or refrigerator.  Note that a “normal” conversation is approximately 60 decibels, and that sound carries very well across snow and quiet mountain neighborhoods.

Playing music outside after 10:00 pm is prohibited.

  • Aspen Basin has installed a noise monitor above the hot tub (please note this monitor does not record video or audio, and only measures volume).  If there is excessive noise after 10 p.m., the monitor will send a courtesy message to Guest that noise levels may be high enough to draw a complaint through the Town’s complaint hotline.

  • We are required to abate any complaints received by the hotline, which we will attempt to do via phone call first, and in-person if necessary.

We ask for your partnership in respecting and maintaining the Town’s Quite Hours ordinance. Thank you!
